Your Money at Work in Afghanistan
MDC-05-18 and MDC-05-19
MDC mine clearance team number 5 was funded for a total of 2 months to clear mines in Herat province, Western Afghanistan.

Your Money at Work in Iraq
IRQ-SA-AMAR
The AMAR (Assistance for Marsh Arabs and Refugees) International Charitable Foundation was set up in 1991 to provide emergency aid for refugees in southern Iran and the Iraqi marshlands in response to the acute humanitarian crisis. Adopt-A-Minefield made a grant to AMAR for the relocation of essential staff to the Basra Rehabilitation Clinic in southern Iraq to serve landmine and UXO survivors and other disabled people. The Basra rehabilitation clinic is responsible for the provision of mobility aids to the southern region of Iraq; however, the clinic was barely able to function due to a lack of properly trained staff due to the deteriorating security situation in Iraq. Adopt-A-Minefield funding will provide accommodation for four key staff members enabling the resumption of this critical work.

Your Money at Work in Cambodia and Vietnam
CAM-SA-CPI
VTM-MAT5
A grant made to Clear Path International (CPI), will support the implementation of CPI’s survivor assistance programs in Cambodia and Vietnam. Funds raised will also be used to support mine clearance team VTM-MAT5 for 1-2 months.

Your Money at Work in Croatia
CRO-072-1 and 2
Funds will be used to clear land in the village of Bastica, in the municipality of Benkovac within Zadar County. The land that needs to be cleared is part of the “Agriculture Conglomerate Zadar”, an area that was owned by the state before the war and is now leased to families and farmers. The land is very fertile, ideal for fruit growing, wine production and other agricultural products. Demining this area, which is located close to a road, will increase the safety for all those who pass the area to access their fields and vineyards and will make additional land available for farming.
